And God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. Rev. 21:4
The sudden death of Andrew Kafe has come as a shock to the Penplusbytes family. Andrew was part of the original team that founded Penplusbytes in 2001. He was a courteous and warm man. His fellow Board members and staff of Penplusbytes who all had the privilege of knowing him will always remember him for being an ever-reliable gentle giant.
Andrew served our Board with great commitment. His impeccable service to the board and management of the organization was evident with the deep humanity he brought to our operations and the smooth linkage he provided between the board and staff. Andrew was an excellent advisor who brought his deep knowledge of operational performance to a variety of issues that have been critical to the transformation of our organization over the years. He leaves a legacy of incredible business acumen, strategy formulation skills, and passion for business excellence recognized by all of us, as fellow colleagues who came to know him.
In his 18 years as our board secretary he hardly ever missed any meeting, and his amiable style always encouraged a cohesive atmosphere even when there were difficult issues under discussion. Penplusbytes owes him a huge debt for such selfless service. His long years of service on the Board was to be recognized and rewarded in the course of our 20th year anniversary celebrations which is currently ongoing. His demise has robbed us of the opportunity to honor him while he was with us.
However, it is said that “when we live like the lightning, we will have no fear for the thunder”. Andrew lived a full, energetic and humanity-centered life. His light was not as long lasting as we would have wished, but it did shine bright and large enough for many of us and we shall remember by walking the trails he blazed.
Andrew,
You answered the call to serve 20 years ago and you helped nurture the seed which grew into Penplusbytes.
Andrew,
We will forever hold the rich memories of your selfless service in our minds for eternity.
Andrew,
May you find rest in the bosom of our heavenly Father.
May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace!!!!!
