Penplusbytes is a not-for-profit organization driving change through innovations in the following key areas: using new digital technologies to enable good governance and accountability, new media and innovations, climate and well-being, and enhancing oversight for effective utilisation of mining, oil and gas revenue and resources. ABOUT THE YOUNG GRADUATE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
This is a 6 months program for aspiring professionals with little or no work experience who are interested in building a career in the civic tech NGO space and being part of team Penplusbytes to pursue its goal of driving change through innovations.
Eligible candidates are young graduates from Ghanaian Tertiary Institutions who have completed their national service.
We are looking to retain our most outstanding young graduates after successful completion of the internship program.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Proven track record of academic excellence from a tertiary institution in Ghana
- Good research and communication skills (Verbal, Written & Presentation skills)
- Veracious appetite for hard work and professional & personal development
- Good administration and IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office Suite such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Good digital/social media skills
- Basic graphic design skills using canva or photoshop is an added advantage
- A Ghanaian national and/or resident in Accra with a positive attitude and growth mindset
- Ability to use initiative and work with a team
RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you’ll be required to…
- Carry out research and data analysis based on request
- Manage and follow up on assigned tasks from program leads
- Develop engaging content (written, graphical etc.) for online assets
- Ensure that all assigned tasks & projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget
- Provide support for the facilitation of meetings, trainings and events
