Ghana Anti-Disinformation Coalition Project
The Ghana Anti-Disinformation Coalition Project is a nationally-coordinated initiative reducing disinformation's spread through collaborative action, localized research, and AI innovation. The project deploys an online fact-checking marketplace, AI-powered disinformation detection tools in Hausa and Twi, baseline research establishing impact indicators, and evidence-based youth media literacy training. Grounded in the recognition that disinformation exploits linguistic and cultural vulnerabilities, the project brings together media organizations, civil society, technology innovators, and communities to build an information ecosystem resistant to false narratives and grounded in verified facts, democratic values, and localized knowledge.
