The Nieman Foundation for Journalism and the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society have opened a call of application to host at least one fellow for an academic year to carry out a research project on journalism innovation.
The fellowship seeks to bring together journalists with project ideas relating to digital transformation journalism, which might include ideas for new revenue streams to fund journalism, the construction of new tools for reporting or research into news consumption patterns.
The call is open to all journalists worldwide working for news organization in business, technology or leadership. He/she must be able to propose a project relating to digital transformation journalism. Free-lance journalists are welcome to apply
Most fellows receive a US$65,000 stipend and are entitled to receive additional allowances for housing, childcare and health insurance.
The application deadline is December 1, 2017 for international journalists and January 31, 2018 for U.S. journalists.
