Iyiola Pedro is a Nigerian multimedia journalist with an extensive background in many facets of journalism – text, photo, audio, video, etc and currently works with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

Graduating from the Osun State Polytechnic with National Diploma (ND) and later from the Lagos State Polytechnic with a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mass Communication, Iyiola started his journalism career with the News Agency of Nigeria as an Intern (Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme) in 2007 where he among other roles accompanied reporters to various beat assignments an got to understudy staff reporters’ and editors’ writing and editing skills respectively. He also transcribed interviews for staff reporters.

He later in 2008 become an Intern Reporter at the Agency filing news reports in text and photo formats, conducting interview with news sources as well as researching and pursuing various stories angles.

Currently, Iyiola Pedro is a Multimedia Studio Executive with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). He files multimedia (text, audio, and photographs) news reports according to organisation’s house style for transmission to its print, broadcast and online subscribers; operate and maintain Electronic News Gathering (ENG) equipment both within the organisation’s multimedia studio and in the field.

He also performs post-production non-linear editing using industry standard application software and identify and recommend relevant multimedia case studies capable of improving the organisations news output.

Iyiola approaches every journalistic endeavour with so much passion because I believe it’s a means of positively impacting mankind. He remains open to collaborative endeavours with other professional colleagues.
