Caroline Mutoko is a Kenyan radio presenter, famously known for hosting a morning breakfast show on Kiss 100 FM. The station is based in Nairobi and ranks among the highly rated radio stations in Kenya with online streaming services as well.

Born on January 4, 1973, Caroline was raised mostly by her parents and spent her early school days in Loreto convent valley road high school. She has 3 siblings. Caroline started her radio career at Capital FM. She worked with no salary but her years of experience helped her land a fortune on Kiss 100 FM – one of the radio stations under Radio Africa brand. She later enrolled at the University of Nairobi where she attained a BA in Economics and Sociology. Caroline also attended Harvard and Strathmore Universities where she has studied leadership. She also studied at the IESE Business School in New York undertaking an Advanced Media Management course. Apart from enabling her secure a post as the Group marketing head of the Radio Africa Group, Caroline’s experience of over 10 years has also brought her at the helm a number of remarkable projects. She is also an active activist of civil rights and has chaired the Kenya Tourist Development Authority.

One of her hobbies is reading. This coupled with the breakfast show hosting, gives her lots of information to share. It is also through the Star newspaper that she expresses her views on various issues.

Her passion is starting engaging conversations, telling the narratives of our time that don’t seem to make it beyond a whisper behind closed doors or thoughts in someone’s mind. In doing so, she has inspired and hopes to continue to inspire a new generation of media practitioners and storytellers. She says, “Kenya and Africa’s story will be told boldly by our voices.”

Caroline Mutoko is a single mother of her adopted daughter, Theodora Nduku.
